The Plural Experiment

In itself the term ‘experimental poetry’ is so vague as to have very little meaning, being both unspecific whilst carrying the weight of many different, often competing, histories. Chris will take you through the charged and hypnotic array of possibilities that generations of innovative writers have established as fair game for poetry. Very much focusing on the tradition of xperimentation, you’ll look at approaches to writing based around Fluxus, Concrete poetry, Projective Verse, and collaborations covering writing exercises on making a visual statement on the page, randomness, using the syllable, simultaneity and how and when to combine non-textual registers within the context of a poem.
