Found Poems and Free Translations

Your next poem is out there... somewhere. This workshop will look at the use of found material (other poems or prose, song lyrics, technical manuals, etc) to create something new and strange. This will extend to the use of multiple English translations of a Rilke poem to write a free translation or version of the original. The writing exercises will aim to sharpen drafting skills and creative choices. A variety of source material will be provided for the 'found' elements, but feel free to bring some of your own.
