Adopt and Adapt

How do we approach the reading of our favourite poets in order to adopt and adapt their techniques for our own writing? Alternating between twentieth century and pre-twentieth century writers week by week, Fiona guides you through the themes, disciplines and techniques of key poets and leads a range of practical writing exercises inspired by their work. You’ll read poets including Arthur Rimbaud, Thomas Wyatt and Sylvia Plath, and during the last part of each session, Fiona will lead an in-depth workshop session on your own poems-in-progress.
