Alison Brackenbury

Alison Brackenbury has had six collections of poems published by Carcanet. Her poetry has been awarded an Eric Gregory Award and a Cholmondeley Award. She has recently scripted three programmes of prose and poetry for Radio 3, including 'Singing in the Dark', about the survival of traditional song. This was a Radio Times Choice, described as 'evocative, amusing and utterly compelling'. Her new collection of poems, also called 'Singing in the Dark', will be published by Carcanet in February 2008.
