Neil Rollinson
Neil Rollinson has published three collections with Cape (A Spillage of Mercury, Spanish Fly and Demolition). He is a National Poetry Competition winner and has received an Arts Council writers award, a Cholmondeley award and a Hawthornden fellowship. Most recently, he has been poet in residence at the Wordsworth trust and a Creative Writing Research Fellow at Manchester University. He writes poems that explore the 'everyday', but seek out the hidden and miraculous that lies at the heart of of experience, both the erotic and celebratory are played out alongside the darker aspects of life - sadness, memory, and the passing of time. Anything goes: food, sex, football, science, all things matter to the poet, and all things throw light on the deeper meanings of life ...
